Last Friday, Lauren & Logan invited me to go to the zoo with them. I LOVE the zoo so, of course, I agreed to go. We went early to beat the heat, and the crowd. Most of the animals were awake and active, which makes for a fun day at the zoo!
Our first stop was to see the giraffes. I was sad I never got to see the baby (read story here), but was happy to see mama was all smiles
Then it was off to the kid’s zoo! Kids get to go hang out with the little goats and sheep. They are too cute!
Next stop was the train. It’s a really neat way to see the zoo and a nice break for your feet!
We stopped to check out the sea lions. This one was floating around the water like this, would come up for air, and go back under. It was really starting to heat up at this point so I can’t say I don’t blame him!
We checked out the monkeys, gorillas, lions, cheetahs, and tigers. Most of which were napping or were hiding in the shade.
Our last stop was the new exhibit Night Hunters. Love it! I didn’t take any pictures since it was so dark but right when you walk in there was a beautiful owl. The Cincinnati Zoo did a great job with this updated building!
As we were walking through we saw we could touch a snake. I’m not a fan of snakes but had to touch it. After knocking kids out of the way waiting in line I got to touch the squishy snake, ew.
I love zoo days and want to go back one more time this summer with A. Cincinnati has one of the best zoo’s and we don’t go as often as we should!
