OOTD: Navy & Pink

It’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit of the day post! I have been better about snapping a few photos of outfits I like to post on here. I have a few lined up for the next few weeks!

I remember when colored pants came out and I was iffy about wearing them. Ever since I bought that first pair of green pants I have been more comfortable about bright colors. About a month ago I found these pink skinny pants in the Gap clearance section for $6! I can’t pass up a good deal!

I have had a new love for the color navy. I never really wore it before but now I am wanted to wear this color with everything! Navy is my new black :)

I live in wedges in the summer. I think they are super comfortable and always look good!

Tiny Apples:{OOTD}

Wedding/baby shower season has officially underway! This year we already have 4 weddings to attend, and I know of two family members welcoming babies this summer. Needless to say I have many parties lined up and I can’t wait to celebrate all the new beginnings!

This Sunday, I went to a bridal shower. I went to my closet to find a dress to wear. In the back, I found this cute Target dress. I picked this up last year for less than $5!

The bottom has tiny apples on it, how could you not love this dress for that reason!

If I could, I would own every color of these J Crew cardigans. They are the perfect length and fit just right. On Thursday I made a visit to my cousin who is a hairstylist.  I am loving my new highlights!

Easter Best: OOTD

I hope everyone had a great Easter (if you celebrate) weekend! I remember when I was a kid, my mom would dress me in an Easter dress that included a hat and a pair of white fancy shoes. Today, I still enjoy dressing up even if it doesn’t include a dress and hat!

Yellow isn’t a color I typically pick out but something about this top made me change my mind. I think it’s the contrast with my hair.  yellow4

My favorite part of this outfit is the necklace. It’s bright, bold, and fun! yellow3

Spring Colors: OOTD

The calendar says spring even though it doesn’t quite feel like it yet. That isn’t stopping me from wearing some of my favorite spring colors. Maybe if I stop wearing my winter tights, sweaters, and boots spring will show up!

Those sparkly shoes are one of my favorite finds. I found them at a shop in Chicago when I was there last and paid less than $20 for them! I found the other items at one of my favorite places to shop, the outlet mall!

I love pairing cream with light blue, they are great colors for the season (and Easter!).

Do shop at the outlet mall often? Whats your favorite items to wear in the spring?

eShakti Dress:OOTD

Recently I was contacted by eShakti to review any clothing item from their site. I was excited for the opportunity, but had a hard time choosing what I loved. They have a ton of cute dresses, and adorable skirts! It came down to this ruffle dress and the dress with the polka dots. Obviously the dots won :)

What I really like about eShakti is the wide range of sizes they offer and the capability to customize the clothes to your size. They do not stock any sizes so each style is cut to order. I thought it was interesting that every style requires a height measurement–whether customizing or not. This is to ensure that it is the perfect fit for you. eshakti2

You also have the choice to choose the sleeve style, and skirt/dress length. I kept the original sleeves and opted for the short length.

I loved the way the dress turned out! One of my favorite features on the dress is the snaps under the sleeve to ensure no bra straps slip down or peek out. The material is light and flowy. Another bonus, pockets! eshakti4

For now, adding tights and a shrug make the dress wearable on a cold day. I am looking forward to wearing it more this summer!

If you sign up for eShakti today you can get a $25 gift coupon. They also are running a deal for buy one item get the second item 50% off. I already have my eye on a few things!

Happy first day of spring! Mother Nature didn’t get the memo around here and we have a high of 38* today. Did spring show up for you yet?
